Every AI companion on this list was tested with real sessions, not a feature scan. We ran the same kind of scenario every time: opening conversation quality, memory persistence over multiple sessions, NSFW capability and access gates, pricing model transparency, cancellation flow, and data handling. Some tests were run twice with different accounts to check consistency.
Our scoring covers six dimensions: chat quality (how the AI responds under pressure, to odd questions, to emotional topics), fantasy and roleplay depth, adult content capability and how it's gated, pricing clarity (what you actually spend vs what the homepage implies), privacy and data handling, and user control (how easy it is to reset, delete, or cancel).
Our scores come from our tests, and nothing else. Every subscription we tested, we paid for ourselves: no publisher chooses its place in this ranking.
